MRS 1608 - does anyone have the recovery CD

Post by casiodan » Sun Mar 03, 2013 11:41 am

Hey folks

Does anyone have the recovery CD for the 1608 that they could put online for me to download?

I can provide some FTP details to give you somewhere to put it if needs be.

Thanks

Hey. This is Mike... you contacted me through youtube. Hopefully someone here will
pick up the message and get you what you need. Glad to see you on here.

Check out the New Songs forum, too. Some great music and a place to have your
music heard.

I'll send some PM's out for you. Maybe I can drum up the disc for you.

Cheers,

Mike

I may have it, but I'm afraid your machine is dead but I will look for it cause mine is dead.
You could also contact zoom at whatever adress I could not find for you just as I think I wont find my recovery disk in my music mess between 200 Beatles cd, but if I find it I will send it to you, I can even send you my dead mrs, maybe they are opposite genders and they will be happy to be together to end their lifes together. I'll keep you inform and I am sure my Zoom friends are more competent to give you the appropriate link to zoom contact, they sent me the cd I am trying to find, for free!

Hey Mike, thanks for sending me here.

I will check out the new song section....probably more to listen than post to be fair haha.... my voice is an aquired taste (thats my story and im sticking to it) 8)

Cheers for the quick responses from you other guys....you got back quicker that Zoom thats for sure.

If anyone does manage to turn up a CD that would be great.

1manband, i did get a reply from zoom saying they suspected my HD was failing, i am getting skipping when i record. Luckily i have managed to back up all my files and have got hold of a new HD, i just need the disk to sort out the partitions and install the system files......hopefully.

Thanks again guys.

Also, Dan, if you look in the earlier posts in this section of the forum, you will find instructions on how to
replace your hard drive with an SD card. Maybe that won't help ya, but maybe it will.

Hi Mike.

I have seen the CF card upgrades. I have even sourced the correct adapter from the states. I guess ill still need the Recovery disk to set up the card? I have a replacement hard drive ready to go in so i may just install that to confirm that it is only a dodgy drive causing my problems and then consider doing the CF upgrade once i know it works.

Cheers

Hi Dan,

I'm sorry but I can't find a recovery CD. I've kept the box and the packaging but no CD. I wonder if there was one as normally I keep everything.

I take it you've found this page to get the latest system software (from 2005!) Zoom download ? (the manual is also available there)

Good luck!

Cheers

I bought a cd for £5 from zoom uk . I coppied the cd as a backup, but only the one from the zoom techs would work.
I will try again with a different copier. I have been making a spare hard drive for backup, as i have been using the mrs 1608 live as a two
piece band. I bought hardware to connect the hard drive to a pc, so every 2 months i update the spare hard drive.
