MRS 1608 rDSP ERR

Post by Rikkitog » Fri Jun 17, 2016 10:53 am

Iam hoping some my be able to help me?

When I turn my Mrs 1608 on its shows " rDSP ERR" and underneath that is show " DRAM(R1).

I have tried to restore back to factory setting using the firm ware direct from Zooms site which I have copied on to a disc as I have lost the original! When trying to use the disc it doesn't even recognise it.

Hopefully some one has a solution as Zoom directed me to this site.

Many thanks

Thanks for visiting the board but sorry it is because of your circumstances.

Both errors are serious errors and are most likely difficult or serious to repair."rDSP ERR" and "DRAM(R1)" both refer to seperate chips. rDSP is the sound effect chip that modifies your recorded sound. DRAM is a memory chip.

My guess is you either have a defective board, loose or defective cabling between boards or bad power supply.
