Unable to create a MRS1608 recovery cd from disk image

Hi, has anyone successfully created a recovery disk from a disk image?. I was given the link to the MRS1608 recovery cd image (cue and bin files) from zoom.co.uk and have downloaded and burned it to cd (have tried many times using different settings) however although the files are on the cd, the cd will not load up when I turn the MRS1608 on as per the instruction manual. It just goes through the normal startup process. Does anyone know how to do this please?.

What program are you using to burn your CD? Most programs either have a "make this disc bootable?" checkbox or has some other way for you to let the program know you want a bootable CD. Also make sure you set the program to create a data CD, not an audio CD.

If none of that works, put the files on a USB memory stick and ask a computer store to make you a bootable CD.

Hi Jim, I used easy media creator 10, I didn't make the disk bootable but did make it a data cd, although the mrs1608 said it was an audio cd when I put it in.
I will have another try making it a bootable data cd.
Can you suggest different cd writing software I should use?
Thanks for the suggestions
Paul

Hi Paul,

Easy Media Creator 10 should be able to create the correct type of CD for you. Years ago I used an older version and it worked well.

Just make sure you tell the program to create a bootable data CD and you should be okay.
