May I use the "Line In" connection on my H2 to copy my LPs to digital. Will connecting "Line In" to "record out" on my receiver harm the H2. I would use the supplied "Y" connectors.

John, if the output of your receiver is a "record out " then, yes, your proposed scenario will work.

BUT, and it is a very big but, the sensitivity of the line input of the H2 is rather higher than one might expect and there is no level control on the unit itself; IWO you have to be very careful about the level of the signal being fed to it! If you look through this forum you will find a number of posts referring to problems created by overloading of the line input. This forum topic http://www.2090.org/zoom/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=9745&start=0 gives a very good overview of the problem from two early adopters of the unit and guidance on how to avoid it. Essentially you have to carefully control the level of the signal going into the line input of the H2; if you can't, and it's not always possible to do so, you will quite likely need to invest in some form of attenuation device in order to lower the input signal level. Again there are various solutions offered in some of the posts in the forum, including one type that I personally use and advocate.

HTH.

Jeff
