hi, I can seem to get the 1-2 red lit up buttons to stop fluttering no matter how low i set the levels on the (internal h4n )mixer .i'm in 4 channel mode and i'm trying to record board mix and room mix at the same time . the lights flutter no matter what the level meters are set at . am i clipping ? is the H4n broken? am i doing something wrong? should i be applying comp or something? firmware glitch? should i pay attention to the meters or the fluttering 1-2 buttons? help.

Zoom gear uses the consumer gear definition for "line level". If you are using output from something using the professional definition, it is likely overdriving.

ok so.......what's the deal? in laymans terms. and most importantly what should i do ? i bought this device because it advertised that you could record a board feed and room mix at the same time.

ok so if anyone else is encountering this problem this is what i learned from Zoom tech support: i need to use a line pad between the recorder and the mixer.
20$ usd from B&H or some place like that.
