I've got an H4n with a burned regulator IC on the power board. It's labelled IC12.
Thanks!
The part number has burned off, so I can't identify it in order to get a replacement. If anybody has a dismantled H4n, perhaps you can take a look at it and tell me the number. There are two numbers printed on it. The bottom number is the actual part number as far as I can tell.Help identify this burned H4N regulator?

I'd be concerned that there is something else severely wrong to have burned out a heat-sinked regulator. Like a short between V+ and ground... Or using an AC adapter of the wrong voltage.

Good point, but I still need to identify the regulator before I can do anything else.

Re: Help identify this burned H4N regulator?
Since I just opened the H4N to search for a solution of the freeze problem, I searched the part yesterday and found it to be:
http://www.njr.com/semicon/PDF/NJM2845_NJM2846_E.pdf
It's a 3.3V voltage regulator.
I found using the top number a reference to this part. Which seems correct after checking the voltages.
Didn't solve my problem, but hopefully helpful to you.
