SD card stuck in Zoom H4n

Post by BillyylliB » Sun Oct 29, 2017 12:24 am

A few hours ago I recorded something on my H4n. When I went to remove the memory card it was stuck in the slot. When I push it in it ejects as normal but when I try to pull it out with my hand it keeps getting caught in something. I don't know if something broke off the memory card or if it's the unit itself. I've never had a problem like this before.

I can still record on it so it's still usable as long as I keep formatting the same memory card and transfer my files through USB to my laptop. Should I just accept that's the way I'll have to use it from now on or is there any way of getting the card out that doesn't involve me having to take the unit apart? I have a big pliers that I'm sure would remove the card but it could damage the H4n in the process. Should I just leave it as is?

With no idea what maybe hanging up, where the catch is located and not wanting to open anything your options are very limited. I would leave it as is because you still can exchange files using the USB port.
