Problem using H4n as A/F in Cubase

Post by Filthy Rich » Thu Mar 01, 2018 1:01 pm

Hello,

I am new here so sorry if this problem has been discussed before.

I can't get my ZOOM H4N to work as an audio interface with Cubase LE6. My other I/F, AUDIOBOX USB works in fine, but I want to use the stereo built in mics from the H4N to record my acoustic guitar.

I have the ZOOM H4n defined as a device on cubase, the inputs and outputs are chosen properly and checked active. I am using the latest download, H and F Series ASIO. I also have an H and F Series Async ASIO which doesn't get recognized.

There have been similar questions/problems posted before and I have followed the advice and feedback, but nothing seems to work.

Any help?

Thanks in advance,
Richard

How did you set the buffer size? When using H and F Series Audio ASIO driver, the buffer size should be large enough and otherwise the input isn't read from Zoom. In my case, the lowest I could get was 192 samples. Under that value, the input isn't read at all.
