ZOOM H1 and mic earphones

Post by Wilx » Wed Jun 20, 2018 5:46 pm

Hello. I have Sennheiser CX 2.00i earphones with built-in mic. Is there a way how I can make ZOOM record sound through the earphones' mic?

Based upon the web site, those are designed for use with cell-phones. The microphone is mono.

You would need to somehow create an adapter cable to
a) split the microphone ring from the L/R rings of the TRRS
b) convert the mono microphone line to a stereo TRS.

When done, you'd have a TRS plug for the headphone out, and a TRS plug for the microphone in.

Something like this might be worth a gamble. Plug-in-power is the main question mark for me.
