R24, Punch In (without specifying punch out)?

Hi -

The R24 Punch In/Punch Out is pretty easy to master, but today I was just wanting to "Punch In" only... and found that I didn't think it is able to do this?

For example, I wanted to continue recording the rhythm guitar at 1:30 into the song, and go until the end, or as far as I would get before messing up again. So I didn't want to specify the "Punch Out" time. Can I do this? The record LED's did not blink indicating it was ready to start recording at 1:30.

Thanks,
:look:

Just set the punch-out point as the end of the song!

There is no end yet. :D

But that's basically what I did, picked a point waaaaaayyyyyy out. It's not what I wanted to do however.

You could also consider punching out at a suitable break and recording the track as bite sized chunks if you're concerned about messing parts up. Getting shorter sections up to performance standard is going to be more doable than expecting to play a longer, new piece or phrase, without errors.
