Here's another example of the same thing...direct inserts out from a small Soundcraft mixer into an R16, for electric bass, electric guitar, 4 drum mics plus acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals....all recorded simultaneously.

Players linked by headphones via a Behringer headphone amp splitter in one room and directly out from the R16's headphone out in the control room.

Acoustic rhythm gtr and vocals were used as scratch/guide tracks, and replaced the next day in overdub mode, to give cleaner/crisper takes.
