Zoom R24: Importing Audio (Seq) into Cubase

Post by knownalien » Mon Dec 25, 2017 2:31 pm

Certain songs on my R24 are sequences. They play fine with Track Sequencer on. But when I import the audio into Cubase, Cubase has no idea where to insert the sequenced tracks . . .it just puts them all at the beginning. Any thoughts on how to overcome this??

Thanks.

You will have to bounce the sequence into a single (stereo) master file and import the master file.

ok. Thanks. You know, I feel like I did this once before a few years back and somehow did it differently. But your way is obviously going to work. Kewl.

Since I don't know of any way to export the sequencer data (which is likely some sort of MIDI treating each track as a "note" -- which is probably true for percussion/rhythm usage) I know of no way to "automate" the song.

Manually recreating the sequence is a different matter -- you'd have to cut&paste repeated parts into DAW tracks at the proper time-points.

I wonder if there is something on the Cubase side that facilitates this???

I've never managed to get Cubase to register (across WinXP, Win7, Win10 -- my last attempt had Steinberg's site telling me the email is already active, but I can't get to the "send me a password reset" pages).
