R24 and Linux

Post by sciurius » Sun Mar 11, 2018 11:14 am

When I connect the R24 via USB to a linux system and select the audio interface function, it manifests itself as an 8-channel input device. Tools like Audacity and Ardour can do 8-channel simultaneous recordings. Nice.

With Ardour, the recording leds are controllable from PC to R24, but I can't seem to get more DAW functions working. Has anyone been more succesful?

EDIT: Got most (everything?) working now with Ardour. The R25 provides two MIDI outputs (midi_capture_1 and _2) and two inputs (midi_playback_1 and _2). The Mackie control needs to be connected to midi_capture_2 and midi_playback_2.
