R16 Master to USB drive not right.

Post by rdsmith » Sat Feb 09, 2019 10:53 am

Re-did a master trak. No matter what i do, it only copies the OLD MASTER to the USB.
But when I play the master on the R16, it is the NEW MASTER. when it saves to USB, it is the OLD Master!
But it only has the NEW MASTER! (about a month now!) card has lots of memory and so does the USB.
(i cannot find the old master on the R16, even if I wanted it.) but it still saves to the USB.

What happens if you rename the master track file first (manual page 61), and then select the new name for saving to the memory stick?

Well... There is one last thing...

DELETE the master, and delete the files on the USB stick using a computer.

Then -- before trying to re-record the master, see what you find using the transfer to USB operation. If you still find a master file -- then you have multiple takes of masters with different versions.
