Pattern and Song Editor

Post by wingnut1 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 9:37 pm

I hope it's okay to ask questions about these here. I'm unable to open a *.seq file in either of these programs. The only files with these extensions that I find on the HD16CD is called pattern.seq and when I copy it to my computers hard drive and try to open it I get a message that says invalid file. What am I doing wrong?

I forgot to add, that after I create a pattern it won't let me save the pattern.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed, I thought Armin would have at least acknowledged my post be now and would have provided some help.

I do not check this forum every hour - sorry.
You can ask questions about my software mainly in the 'Ask Armin' Section - I normally check this section about once a week.

Your error message sounds like you use the wrong version of the editor:
e.g. a MRS editor to open a HD file - or a HD editor to open an MRS file - this is NOT possible.

If you own the full HD version and use a HD16 or HD8 feel free to send me a support request via the link below:

http://www.soundside.de/support/support.htm
But even then could it take up to 48 hours to get an answer ;-)

There is no such fine 'pattern.seq' on the HD16 - at lease not from the factory - maybe you have copied such a file from another Zoom recorder.

.seq files from other Zoom recorders can not be used with the HD editors.

The HD .seq files are called 'RHYTHM.SEQ' and are stored in each project folder e.g. PROJ001

Please check the English manual page 208 for more information about the HD recorders file/folder structure.

All this is also explained in great detail in the online help system of the editor (menu ?)

You can download the latest help files from this page (section 'full documentation'):
