RT 223 swing/shift/quantization settings

Post by gms » Fri May 05, 2017 6:28 pm

Anybody use the RT223 here?Looking to get some feedback re-using the swing/ time shift and quantisation settings to get the beat to sound less mechanical and more like how a live human being would play it-for ex.can you record something like the kick or snare part of a beat, time shift it,then record other parts that aren't time shifted to complete the beat? What about making beats w/the quantisation on/off or using different settings to have some parts of the beat exact and others a little off(i.e. using the eighth note settings to get the kick on the beat then the 32nd note setting to record a second consecutive kick eighth)? Any replies appreciated.....
