Hi all!
I got a Gibson studio with zoom g5n and need a small 10-20w amplifier. Most of them incorporate some effects which I don't want since I will never use it without g5n.
I am playing metal, mostly iron maiden to be honest. Any ideas for something quality max 200$?
Thank you!

Re: Zoom g5n home amplifier
I doubt I have any help to offer but just for clarification:
You are looking for a 10W range amp/speaker combo -- not just a pure 10W amplifier using separate speakers?
Pure amplifier kits for 2x10W (stereo) are common, and run around $15-20 without cabinet (https://www.parts-express.com/pam8610-2 ... d--320-604 and https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss ... +amplifier)
At 10W you are into the small practice amp range -- and since you are using an effects board between the instrument and the amp which likely has standard line-level outputs, you likely do not need a unit with high-impedance instrument input. Have you considered just using powered monitor speakers (you'd need a Y cable to split the mono board output into identical left/right)... Something like: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MS16
Are you looking for a particular type of tone, or plan to rely solely on the effects board. If going for a particular tone, you'll have to evaluate various combo units (as I recall, most electric guitar amps tend to have a bit of a restricted frequency range over acoustic amps, since acoustic amps may be required to work with wide-band microphone, not just the limited pickups of an electric guitar)... At a minimum, you might need bass/treble tone controls. Beyond that, you end up back in the realm of the modeling amps (I see my wimpy Peavey Vypyr 15 [15W] has been superseded by the Vypyr VIP-1 [20W] -- and Peavey has apparently decided having a volume control that goes to "11" is passe, the new one goes to "13"
; really -- a linear control from 0% to 100% and they fight over the number of marked gradations?)
Don't know if these pages will be of any help:

Re: Zoom g5n home amplifier
You could try the Vox MV50 Clean it is a mini amp the puts out
50watts @ 4Ω
25watts @8Ω
12 1/2watts@16Ω
I have Vox MV50 AC which is voiced like an AC30 and I gig using a zoom g1on and I just got a zoom g5. I just use a different cab depending on the size of the gig and how much wattage I need.

Re: Zoom g5n home amplifier
Possibly breaks the OPs $200 point, once you add the separate speaker (hence my original query as to just an amp, or a combo)

Thank you all for your replies,
What is your opinion for a pair of 2 Blackstar?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RECW47E/ ... LQN8LXDHNL
This way i can have also pc speakers (via line in) and use it as an guitar amplifier (with zoom g5n of course) - useful for jamming along youtube !

I'm also thinking about getting the fly stereo pack for home use with the g5n, did you decide which one to try ?
