Zoom U-24 with UbuntuStudio

Post by bogyman57 » Tue Nov 21, 2017 8:50 pm

Hi all,
I've been using FFADO (firewire)/Jack/Ardour5 on an UbuntuStudio distro for a few years now. I'm trying to become more "portable" so I bought a Zoom U-24 (I love the battery powering option).
This is my first USB Audio Interface and I'm still fighting to get 'er up 'n running - with marginal success.
I'm used to Ardour automagically connecting all the hardware and creating empty channels for me, but now I seem to have to do it manually.
Is anyone else attempting such a thing?
Any pointers would be most welcome.
