RT 223 COMP EQ/kits/layering/quantiz/recording

Post by gms » Mon Mar 26, 2018 7:41 pm

Appreciate any feedback from other RT series users re-

Drum sound editing using COMP EQ- which patches you used/parameters settings....

Specific kick/SN/HH etc you like and the tunings you use...

Layering-if you layer instruments i.e.
2 kicks one for bottom+one for percussive effect
SN +clap/snap/rim shot etc
2 HH
what do you use?

Any tips re-using Q/non Q(Hi)+ shift to make beats more "human".......

I also have a TASCAM DPO8FX and I'm interested in any tips for recording the beats i.e.
-effects settings/EQ/compressor
-separating the beat component instruments and recording each to a different track w/its' own settings then mixing them to the stereo master track and adjusting the settings again vs.recording the beat as a whole to one track.......

Thanks for taking the time to read this and in advance for any feedback/tips/info...
