Zoom G3n How do you put user patches into Guitar Lab?

Post by Beatnick » Tue Oct 02, 2018 12:22 pm

This has to be one of the most confusing programs I have ever used for editing patches. I figured out how to load Zooms own patches...made by a bunch of guitarists I have never heard of. How do I include other user patches I find online though? I thought I could just drag and drop into the patch pool, but they are blacked out. It's driving me crazy.

Feel free to search your favorite streaming site if it's not listed. I do not know all the ones I was put on.

Zoom equipment I currently own
G3n, G3, R8, PS-04, 508, 505 II

It's only music, don't take it so seriously

Ok, I would still like to know if there is a way to do this from Guitar Lab if anyone knows, but I did find a third party program, called Tonelib, that let me load user patches into my G3n.

Ive talked to Zoom about the update on guitar lab 3.0 , they said their developers working on it.

If your not in a hurry try https://tonelib.net/

but caution and disclaimer , tonelib editor its not official Zoom Editor but it works according to many using it.

I only use it to load patches from the internet. It seems to work good for that, but I haven't played with it much. I've been using Guitar Lab for creating patches. One thing I didn't like about Tonelib was that the effects were listed alphabetically instead of the order they are on the unit itself. You'd think that would make it easier, but it actually confused me.
