Livetrak l-12 owner here. Updated firmware to 2.0.

It's great to see a company that listen to customer requests!

Cheers.

So...I'm actually interested in buying either the L-12 or the L-20, but I was stopped by the L-12 *NOT* being able to get effects in any of the monitor mixes.
Puh-LEASE Zoom understand that not everyone wants to relive the 70s with dry aux mixes (not me anyway!).
Plus it's not uncommon to use a stereo Aux (WITH effects) as a quick "board mix" that you send to, say, an H2 or other simple line-in recorder to get a quick recording with no need for later mixdown (I realize the Master track gets recorded too, but you might want a different mix, say with mic'd guitar amp present...whereas in Master you don't want that going back out the Mains).

Anyway...bottom line for me is I would probably be happy with the cost and number of channels for the L-12, but not if I can't get effects in the aux mixes.

According to the version history (in the .zip file for version 2.0 of the firmware) it has this cryptic reference:

Released as following function update and bug fixes in October 2018
■Function Update
1. Added a function that enables L-12 to return effect sound to the monitor output.

I can't seem to put my hands on an updated manual that discusses this...so I'm wondering if you have determined that YES you CAN route FX into the various Aux mixes or not.
The L20 seems to allow this, while the L12 didn't (at least until possibly this firmware update).

Also: BOARD ADMINS: shouldn't you have a separate forum for the L-12 and L-20?
I'm slowly starting to perform live again, and if I get one of these puppies I'd be happy to tear it apart and try to help (similar to my love and support of the R-16)...Just sayin'...

Anyway...hope all is well with y'all.
