reviewing recordings with the mics open L12 Livetrack

Post by Bradzweb » Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:14 pm

Hi Folks

After recording on the L-12 Like to listen to it and make any adjustments. However, unless I use headphones I get feedback from my mics through my speakers. Is there a way to disarm the channels making this possible?

Either mute the signal feed to the amplifier powering the speakers or mute the microphone channels are the only two ways I can think of. If you listening to track playback why do you have channels armed for recording?

If you're multi-tracking (listening to pre-recorded tracks while recording to different tracks) you don't want the speakers on. Whoever is playing needs to be listening to the pre-recorded tracks through headphones. If you don't have enough headphone connections to go around you'll need a headphone amplified that has enough output connections for everyone. The sound from the speakers will bleed into the microphones and muddy up your recording or cause feedback.
