You may or may not be aware of the Right To Repair Act or The Repair Association. The Right To Repair Act is a political bill template that legislators use to support the consumer's right to have access to the same parts and documentation repair depots have. The Repair Association is the leading advocate to obtain this right. I'm posting a link to The Repair Association to increase awareness of this effort.

Re: Right To Repair & The Repair Association
I hear some spouses are proposing a "Right to Prevent that Old Sod from Trying to Repair things Himself" bill.

Re: Right To Repair & The Repair Association
I'm getting to that stage. I break more than I fix now days.
I normally wouldn't post a message with political connotations but right to fix and lack of Zoom service information or parts are bookend subjects. It seems there are more forum posts concerning repair than anything else.
A thought unrelated to the topic:
I miss having the capability to post in the Time Bomb Cafe. It was nice having a spot in the forum where one could rant, muse, ramble or otherwise post a message that went "poof" after thirty days.

Re: Right To Repair & The Repair Association
We just don't have the volume of off topic/time bomby posts to justify it. I'd say 99% of the new sign ups on the forum go straight to the Zoom gear sub forum that applies and seek tech help. Which is fine, that was always the intent of the forum.
As for random repairs, thank god for YouTube.
