Sharp fret edges occur quite a bit to us guitarists/bassists regardless of the money spent on the instrument. As the unfinished wood on most fretboards dry, it shrinks, thus exposing the sharp fret edges. I am getting tired of taking in each of my new instruments to have my Luthier dress the edges for around $75 a pop so I went looking around for some ammo.....

Here's how:

Hey, All you guys that are into the classic keyboard sounds like the Hammond organ w/Leslie tone cabinet sound and the Fender Rhodes electric piano, here's a great little package for you.

http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=37

It's from the Legacy Soundfonts and features several VST's and VSTIs to give you the classic KB sounds you're cravin'. Freeware and Donationware all in one downloadable bundle.

UVI Workstation
good tool with a lot of sounds, Fx, and compatibility.
the software is free and there is also a free downloadable 415MB Soundpack. For the other sounds you have to pay.

Thanks for recommennding this Voclizr. I just downloaded it and checked it out. Its very useful indeed. The Hammond is pretty good. No better than the AZR3 freeware and it has slightly more latency but it doesn't make it unplayable. There are more presets but if this was the only feature I wouldn't move from the AZR3.

However, the Mr Ray 22 electric organ is anything but an electric organ. It is a full blown synth with 50 + presets which will satisfy most people. It is a blinding piece of kit for freeware and I suspect you may be hearing it in the future...

The other stuff is so so. But this is worth downloading for the Mr Ray 22 alone.

Cheers
