HDMI Connection on PC

Post by voclizr » Wed Sep 30, 2015 9:00 pm

My new Lenovo desktop PC that I use for recording has an HDMI monitor connection as well as the traditional monitor connection. What is the benefit of using the HDMI connection, or is there any? Use less memory perhaps, or what? I'm familiar with HDMI because it's required on my home theater set but never used it on a computer.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

The main difference is hdmi cabling is smaller diameter, the connectors are smaller and the cabling is not as stiff as the traditional monitor VGA cable.

I saw in another post you have your new computer and monitor set up in your new studio so ... nevermind!
