I have an earlier version of BIAB and I've found it very useful for sketching out a song but this upgrade is a tad expensive for what I use it for.

Looks good though if you're looking for a more complete package.

I use it like Dick does, as a sketch pad, although I do carry over the drums and bass many times. I would be afraid to upgrade as I don't want to become totally reliant on it for all my instrumentation, although I have done a few songs that way in the past with some success (at least in my eyes).

In my youth I was a decent drummer but I was otherwise a terrible musician. Likewise I'm not much of a vocalist or songwriter. But I've always been interested in music production so my Zoom MRS-8, computers, DAWs, plug-ins and Band-in-a-Box allow me to experiment, learn and play.

The MRS-8 was the gateway that renewed my interest in production. I still am amazed at what that little box can do.
