Got this email today:

"I would like to add "World In Motion" to the Delta Boogie Radio
playlist. Delta Boogie radio serves m3u playlist files and all songs
are available for on demand play and download so we must have the
songwriters permission to post.

Keep on changing the world with your music.

Thanks"

I'm not sure how much my music is changing the world, but you can be sure I told him he can use my song. :D

I listened to Work of Art. Great song! Would like to use your stuff on my radio show. I like to use home grown music as much as I can. My station is WDLP Montcalm Public Radio 93.1. You are the first that I have heard though H.R. That is really worth air play. If you would like to contact me. Please do so through my website at WWW.OLDHIPPIELIVE.NET

Reply: My,My! Thanks so much, Old Hippie. A new friend is a pleasant surprise!! Since WOA is a collaboration with my French writing partner I feel it is only proper that I ask him what he thinks, but I'm quite sure he will have no problem with your playing it. I'll contact him ASAP and get back to you thru your site.
Cheers;
JB

Currently waiting approval from co-writer Guy DeBreilly.
Note: This song was played on HMHS on March 7, 2008.

PS: BTW-Congrats on Delta Boogie, John!! Listened back on "World In Motion". Love it!! (Bend those knees.  )

Don't let this one die.

I remember the day when we were all so happy about our little successes. Either we have finally grown up or we haven't had many successes lately.

Pah!

Grown up? Not in my lifetime. :D

I don't think I've had many sucesses of late though...

No. That's no true. I've finished my CD. I get the demo/master back soon from Kunaki to check it then I'll order 200 and see how it goes. I'd be jumping the gun to call it a success just yet though. I'm proud to have done it, gone through the process. It was hard but fun in so many ways.

Grown up? Please! I'm 49 and I own Billy Bob teeth which I wear in the classroom. I'm about to buy a Les Paul copy so I can pretend I'm Marc Bolan in my loft. Grown up... No sireee. That was the mistake our parents made. I'm not saying we should be stupid but we should never let the child in us die; its the route to hypocrisy.

I got a (non paying) gig for a local radio station coming up. I hope to flog my CD there. I can flog the bugger at my local folk club and open mic night too.

See, that used to warrent a post on this thread. Good job, Polly. Radio is always a success (not to mention a CD and live performances).

Just to let you all know a re-mixed version of Anarchy in the Ukelele has just been featured on Stackridge's official podcast. If any one should wish to have a listen here is the link. http://www.stackridge.net/podcast.asp And to think this all started on the home made hits show ! What a great way to start the New Year - greetings and best wishes all.

No posts in the forum for days and this thread for months

My song: Pain Killer Jayne was played on the podcast Cosmic Grab Bag at http://michaelangel.podomatic.com/

Particularly entertaining was the way he linked me incorrectly to a rapper :)

Here's something pretty cool . . .

The GAP stores, in celebration of 40 years in business, are having live music events at all 700 stores in the US and Canada on August 20, 7 - 9 P.M. They are calling it the "largest-ever simultaneous live acoustic music event."

I've been chosen (from among several hundred submitted press kits) to be the performer at the store in Hanover, NH (home of Dartmouth College). Each store was given all of the press kits for the bands/musicians in their area and the store employees themselves picked who would play at their location.

I'm a pretty cynical guy, but I'm actually kinda' proud of this one.
