Nice and relaxing. The melody sounds like it is begging for lyrics over top of it. I truly love the piano in pop ballads. I don't really like the classical piano stuff or driving rock songs with it, but a ballad with a player like Nicky Hopkins is wonderful to me.

Good one V.

Nice one! Beautifully composed, arranged, and performed. Once again ur creativity amazes me for originals. Love when the strings come in.

Thanks, Sean & Marc. :D

Sean, everytime I post an instrumental you say you could imagine a lyric/vocal line on it. Actually, so could I but every now and then I like to put my Chip Davis hat on and do an Manheim Steamroller treatment on a tune without putting my big mouth into it. ;)

John,
Nice piece to listen to while I was tinkering around in my studio. You have a recognizable style that has "JOHN BOWEN" written all over it. It's mixed well too. The bass is clear without mudding up the melody. Good work! Glenn

Thanks Glenn. Speaking of the bass, I've just updated it. I FINALLY figured how to do a bass slide in Trilian and I put that on the intro. You might want to revisit it.

Nice one John... you know what says John Bowen to me....right at 45 or 46 seconds that one note that changes it up. Hard to tell with the sound click timeline exactly where but you take the phrase up in stead of down as it has been. I hear that and I say John Bowen. ;)

Very neat. I kind of wanted the drums to be using brushes so it could get a bit more laid back, but that's obviously not quite where you were going. Thanks!

High quality as ever John. Sent me hurtling towards an American 70's cop show then bounced me onto a Japanese Bonsai advert then into a Russian walk around St Pertersburg. Loved the break, very smooth and that cheeky ending was nothing but class. The drums were a million miles away from the 802's.

All in all a nice piece of music. World tour in a song. Check.
Peace.

Man, where have YOU been?!
An old buddy from the past. Great to hear from you again. I remember the conflict over the dreaded "zoom drum" sound years ago. I used to hate when they picked on them, but now I understand why. Actually, I think only you, Angel White and me were the only ones on this forum to use them. Yes, I've become a die hard Toontrack fan with EZ Drummer 2 and (EZ Keys). Much more realistic drums. I've advanced quite a bit in the past 10 years or so. What have YOU been up to? Still making music, I hope.

Thanks for your feedback on CB. Stop by more often.

Hey John,
inbetween short stay psychiatric units and more funerals than I can count on 2 hands, I have been writing yeah.
Done a bit of new stuff (but didnt post here for some reason) and am putting something together this year hopefully.

Glad the zoom forum is still going strong. Keep on making music pal, I'll check in on you from time to time.

Take care.

I listened again, John. That intro is butter, dude! I like how clear that slide in is on the bass. Epic instrumentation, sounds like something one might here in an iMax theater or something similar like Epcot. Cool outr/fade out too.

Thanks for the revisit, Marc. I took me a while (2 years) but I finally figured out how to do a slide in Trilian Bass.
