Reluctance of Interstellar Pilgrims ~ instrumental ~ R24

Post by Lungfruit » Sat Oct 08, 2016 8:41 am

I had this riff in my idea file for a long time and I finally found a drum sound that seemed to fit it.

I'm using an EHX Pan pedal in the beginning to pan the lead hard left and right. I think it gives it a richer, fuller sound.

Production notes:
Recorded direct to the R24
guitars: Epiphone dot -> Digitech RP255
bass: Fender Jazz -> R24
drums: Digitech RP255
keyboards Garageband

Very unique in a refreshing way. Nicely done.

Sounds like you had fun with this. That's the most important thing.

Thanks Bob, green, David and John for the listen. This is actually one version I'm happy with as most of my file conversions to MP3 come out not well.

Thanks for listening. I don't use GarageBand and I'm not really familiar with but it does have some interesting keyboards.

Hmm...I don't know if that question is for me but I've never used Garage Band either. Do you mean Band-in-a-Box? I've used that but real keys are way better.

I haven't used either of those. I have an older iPad with GarageBand on it which is the only keyboard program I have.

Sort of a "Low" and "Interpol" vibe. Very good mood to this. There are a few clunker notes here and there I'd take the time to edit out (although I say that knowing full well I've left so many in). I think a bridge would take this to the next level. I'd also stick to only a couple different keyboard sounds, maybe even just one. Overall a great piece to build off of.
