So I think this song needs a little explanation. Government cheese was provided to low income families when I was growing up. This song is about a man who is trying to decide if he wants to be this women's third husband (#3) and the fact she "gets the cheese" is a big factor.

That was very good. Creative idea and well written. The line about the kids smirking was rather insightful of that situation.
Well played. Nice recording.
I like it.

I've been away and I've not been able to get Soundcloud working on my laptop and I've been intrigued to hear this.
Once again an inventive title and subject
Good fun and good lyrics. Very clever.
Cheers

Yeah. I remember those days of the "Government Cheese". How times have changed.
Anyway, enjoyed this. The parody in your tunes is very entertaining.

Hi!
Interesting title. Makes one smile, even though the topic is rather serious and not funny. But then taking life easy makes this very positive and hopeful in a way.
Good sounding mix, and thought it is still very recognizably you, there is a new and special sound here. I like it.

I really, really like this song! It's got a style that's both kind of old-folk and its own.
P.S. Yes, I'm old enough to remember government cheese, and my favorite, peanut butter!

Say cheese! Very cool! Nice clear RECing. Curious about the components of this jam. Bass? Drums? They are sitting nicely in the mix.

Thanks for the listen. The instruments are; Taylor acoustic, Fender Precision bass, and me on an Alexsis DM-10 kit. Interestingly my wife thinks this is the best mix of my songs in recent years.

That's a real toe tapper. Very pleasant and hummable. Vocal and instruments all work in harmony to good effect. Government cheese, wasn't that the 50s? I could still see kids humming it today.

I f-ing love this! A tainted love song wrapped up in gooey, government cheese!!!
I won't really comment on the recording (which is good) because the song is so infectious that you don't really dwell on the sonic quality. That....is the essence of a good song, imho! Cheers!

You pulled an old one out from awhile ago. Thanks for listening to it. You should listen to my newer song. This is also my wife's favorite.
