Part Time Lover (The Herpes Song) ~ original folk thang ~ R24

Post by Lungfruit » Sat Oct 28, 2017 9:14 am

This is not mean't to autobiographical in any way! I'm just having fun! I'm going through some kind of phase where I like writing lyrics that make me laugh.

No having fun with songs! :nono:

Fantastic recording! I love the rag-tag quality of it all. Very rough countryish feel. Nice. Reminds me of Bob Dylan type song from mid-60's ("everyone must get stoned" song, for example). All instruments played well and mixed nicely. Great lyrics and vocals. Right on!

p.s. Thanks for listen and comments on my song. I appreciate it very much.

It's a very catchy song ;)

You really come up with unique subjects :)

I like the production on this. It all holds together well in its own relaxed way.

Cheers

Clever lyrics. Love your whimsical style of writing and performing.

I used a Shure SM58 mic through a Digitech Vocal 300, which is vocal processor. I used the compressor setting to try to reign in the high end of my voice. Thanks for listening.

Thanks Sean, Dick, & John for your listens!

Funny. The voice a perfect foil for the lyric, I also could've stood with some more harmonica playing, that was good.
