New, Old Cover Recorded on Micro BR and BR864

Post by jonesvox » Fri May 11, 2018 12:55 pm

It's been a long while since I've been on the forum....Hope ya'll are doing well!!
I started this track on my Micro BR and then moved the initial tracks over to my BR-864, where I added the simulated Bass track and two (opposite panned) 'swell' guitar tracks. I tracked the vocal with a cheap, newly obtained handheld condenser mic (Pyle PMIKC45BK). The mic was sort or a catalyst for the recording, as I wanted to review it ($25 on Amazon and operates on single AA battery) I used same said mic on the acoustic guitar (Recording King Dirty 30's parlor).
Anyway, the track is one of my favorite Charlie Rich tunes and it's often in my live band set list as well. Hope you like...

Great to see you back on the forum and recording again Richard. I like the microphone sound.

Excellent recording. So clear. Wonderful vocals. The music was well done too. It had a swirling effect that I liked.

I've never heard this song before but it is in the classic Country style. I don't think they are allowed to write them like this anymore. The singer can never look like the bad guy any more. :(

Good to see a new post too. I have a few on the burner but haven't been motivated to finish them.

Beautiful work Richard. Excellent recording. I don't know the original, but if it is an Elvis song you nailed it. Your voice has a professional sound to it and I hope you get to use it in that way.

Wow, this sounds pro! Very rich sounds. Nice cover too. Has a retro country kinda vibe.

Classy work Richard.

Excellent recording. Vocals are spot on and the arrangement is quality.

I'm sorry I took so long to get here and that the forum isn't how it used to be. This deserves a bigger audience.

Cheers

Dick

Hi!
Wanted to give a listen, but you must've pulled your song. It's not there anymore.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback on "All The While".
