Anybody's Solo, PS-02, Original, Rock

Post by Beatnick » Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:05 am

I did this song on the Zoom PS-02 when I first got it. I remember my wife (then girlfriend) was watching TV and I sat there with headphones recording this. Everything was done on the Zoom PS-02. Back then I did not understand how MP3's worked, so, unfortunately, the quality got degraded from using a low bitrate. I still felt the song was good enough for the album though.

The tune (it wasn't a complete song) I first completed on my Zoom MRS-8 was a mess but it was a mess I was very proud of. I'd never used effects, a bass machine or programmed a drum machine for use as a time keeper. I could not believe how much my little box could do. Then I decided to move the tracks to my computer. I didn't understand how the project manager software worked and deleted the tracks.

Unfortunately, I've done stuff like that too. Completely deleted tracks or entire songs. Unfortunately, most of the songs on my "A Memory Ago" album have no backing tracks anymore because they were accidently deleted or some kind of failure occurred. It sucks because I would like to play some of those songs again, but without the backing tracks that's impossible without completely rerecording and I don't see that happening.
