Which one is the best one

Post by shaft » Tue Jan 03, 2006 1:37 pm

O Milionario (mrs8, instrumental)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=453163

in other words "Which one sucks the least" :D

ive been playing around with this tune and came up with 3 different versions... should be interesting to see which one you prefer!

version 1, pretty slow
version 2, a bit faster
version 3, just a silly 1 minute version

writing as i listen!

not what i expected!

#1 very cool instrumental! reminded me of Oliver Onions (soundtrack from Bud Spencer & Terence Hill films)! good mix and nice solo playing!

#2 totaly different sound! but also great! could be a part of the soundtrack of Captain future!

#3 surprise! sounds funny! very happy tune!

all together very good work! ... and nice different styles!

I hated to vote this time. All 3 were so good! The 3rd verion made me smile alot. The second was one was very nice also. But number 1 felt so good to close my eyes and listen to. The lushness was so cool. So, the first version gets the vote, but don't trash the others.

I think 1 and 2 have more potential and actually could work together. I like the song a lot. It's going to stay instrumental, I take it?

Don't listen to the others...press ahead with number 3 because it made me laugh out loud. It is inspired.

But, on a serious note, number 2, if I really have to be serious, is the best bet. Nice tune, well done. Lyrics?

More inspired stuff like no. 3 please, however! 10 out of 10 for originality!!

Chf

ps I'm just about to play it again to cheer myself up...
pps I'm downloading it onto my pod to see what the Brazilians make of it...

Great innit, chf! I smiled from ear to ear.

Damn wish I could vote for all 3. Shaft is my favorite Zoomer. I have 4 great tunes to listen to from him. Just my style.

It's a tough call, they are suprisingly different. I went with #1, because it was the most memorable.

I could definitely hear this with vocals thought.

chf: sure man! hope theyll like it.

anyways the thing is im recording an instrumental album and i will probably only use one of the versions. i thought this poll might clear things up. hmmmmmm...... 3 versions on the same album seems like a pretty bad idea doesnt it?
i think ill go with the 1st version

Shaft, Roger Waters made a double disc mess called The Wall from a couple riffs. And they were stolen from Chicago, of all bands. So, lay all 3 out there. It's your album.
