restore from cd

i have a mrs 1266 that drive is going bad so i contacted zoom and they sent me a link for the iso for the unit

my ? is how to boot from cd to setup new drive

Hi Mike.

I don't own an MRS1266, but on page 159 of the user manual it details

'Hard disk maintenance with the accessory CD-ROM'

where the CD-ROM is used to either return the hard drive to a factory default (RECOVER), or factory Initialise (VER UP).
Not quite sure what the difference is between them, but I assume you can install a new hard drive, and use one or other to install the MRS operating system to it.
It does state that the RECOVER option will erase all user data, but no mention of that with VER UP, but no guarantee from me that it won't :shock:

If you haven't already downloaded it, the manual may be obtained here:

If you have not already done so, you need to create the CD from the ISO image you were sent.
