Heroes-Original Song & Video

Post by voclizr » Tue Feb 05, 2019 10:08 pm

I wrote a song for some of my favorite artists and biggest influences, living and dead. It's a mixture of several genres, but I'm an avid jazz fan as well as rock & pop.

Please enjoy "Heroes"

It's definitely not a style I have explored much, but I do like it. Really the only thing I can compare it to is Kissing A Fool by George Michael. I don't think it sounds like that song, it just has that same kind of feel. It's got a great sound and the playing is great. I assume you play everything yourself? I love the lyrics. Especially the last 2 lines of the chorus. It's very good.

You really have got the smooth jazz style off to a tee now John.

Really well produced and the names are very cleverly worked in to the song.

Nice playing and singing as well.

Cheers

Excellent production John! I liked the video too. You mention artists I've never heard of. I can definitely hear where you get your influences from. I especially liked the trumpet pieces you added. Glenn

Well thought out song. What a great sound. Sometimes YouTube doesn't convert the audio soundtrack very well but the sound really shines here. The vocal track sits well in the mix and you sound like you're enjoying singing it.

Outstanding work, John.

So very smooth. I am very impressed with the many variations of instruments you employed and employed superbly! I really enjoyed the story the lyrics were telling. Well crafted. I like how you changed the Fx (or Eq or whatever) between the verses and the chorus vocals.

The video was well done too. How'd you find the time to do it? My video days are long gone.

A+ work. I like it!
